Hester Cox - Fine Art Greetings Cards
Hester Cox is a printmaker based in North Yorkshire. She trained at Harrow School of Art and Design and now exhibits and sells her limited edition prints throughout the UK. Her main mediums are collagraph, relief, carborundum and photopolymer prints.
She lives and works in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire. Collagraph, linocut, photopolymer, drypoint and monotype are her preferred methods and she often combines these to create one richly coloured and textured print.
Hester teaches printmaking workshops privately and for The Woodland Trust, ArtisOn Ltd and Rural Arts.
Awards include an Extending Practice Award from Chrysalis Arts which allowed her to work with the British and Yorkshire Museums in 2011. In 2014, she was shortlisted as one of ten artists to take part in Connections North: Mirror Images, an international printmaking exhibition that took place simultaneously in North Yorkshire, Scotland, Finland and Sweden in 2015 and then toured in Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland. In 2015, her print 'Tracks and Traces' was shortlisted for the New Lights Prize Exhibition and 'Passing Through' was accepted into the Harrogate Open Exhibition at the Mercer Gallery
